For nearly two decades, Challa Group has been quietly preparing to build South India's next industrial destination — a 10,000-acre integrated ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh hosting seven strategic industrial sectors, a compact town for the workforce, and an entire generation of livelihood.
Challa Group is an Indian infrastructure development and asset-creation company with a track record spanning seven established sectors. From conceptualisation to commissioning, the Group designs, plans, executes and manages large-scale infrastructure projects with a philosophy centred on identifying high-growth opportunities and delivering them on time.
Headquartered in Hyderabad and rooted in Andhra Pradesh, the Group's work today ranges from active operating businesses to the Donakonda Master Plan — the largest privately-led regional development initiative ever undertaken in the State.
What binds it all together is a single conviction: the greatest asset an enterprise can build for a country is one that creates work, dignity, and continuity of opportunity for the people around it.
A 10,000-acre masterplanned ecosystem in Prakasam district — anchored by seven strategic industrial verticals and a compact town for the workforce.
Unlike a conventional multi-sector park, Donakonda is architected as an economic organism — each vertical operating as an independent SPV while sharing infrastructure, talent, supply chain and services with the others.
The land bank is 10,000 contiguous acres, split across seven core industrial verticals plus two parallel initiatives — an aerospace campus on the historic Donakonda airfield and an export-class shipbuilding yard on the Andhra coast — with a 500-acre compact township for the workforce at its heart. Groundwork on the platform began in 2007, nearly two decades ago; phased deployment starts in 2026 with full maturity by the tenth year.
Each vertical is designed as an independent industrial precinct with its own utilities take-off, worker amenities and common facility centres — while sharing the wider ecosystem.
Alongside the 10,000-acre industrial platform, the Group is developing two additional flagship assets — an aerospace campus and an export-class shipyard.
A 2,220-acre full-stack aerospace campus centred on the revival of the Donakonda airport — with a DGCA-approved Flight Training Organisation, an MRO complex for narrow- and wide-body aircraft, a UDAN regional passenger terminal, an air-cargo hub, and an aerospace SEZ.
A 500-acre coastal shipbuilding complex with dry docks, wet basin and 500 m quay wall — designed to build, service and operate export-class vessels: bulk carriers, tankers, container feeders and offshore support vessels. Includes a defence and coast-guard vessel programme under Sagarmala.
The site is organised as concentric rings — a compact town in the centre, light-impact industry ringing it, heavy-impact industry on the outer belt, and utilities on the perimeter.
The masterplan is organised as concentric rings: TOWNSHIP at the centre with the workforce and civic core, V.04 MSME ringing it as light-impact industry, and the seven HEAVY-IMPACT verticals forming the outer belt. The UTILITIES BELT sits on the perimeter.
The town is a higher-density mixed-use core designed so every essential need — home, work, school, clinic, market — is within a 15-minute walk or cycle for every resident.
Master planning at nation scale demands a leadership team with the operating credibility to see decade-long projects through to commissioning.
Born in 1976 in Vinukonda, Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh, into a family of farmers. His formative years — defined by an intimate understanding of rural aspiration and the quiet cost of underemployment in the countryside — became the foundation of everything he would go on to build.
His professional career began as a labour contractor, rising through the ranks to serve some of India's most respected infrastructure companies: L&T, Gammon India, ESSAR, Reliance, IVRCL, ERA Construction and JMC. His work took him across India's most active industrial belts.
In 2007, he began the groundwork for what would become the Donakonda platform. Nearly two decades of site studies, stakeholder consultations, and anchor-tenant validation later, he now leads Challa Group as it delivers the largest privately-led regional industrial initiative in Andhra Pradesh's history.
The arc runs from Vinukonda 1976, through field years 1996–2006, into the 2007 groundwork that seeded the Donakonda platform, and now to phased deployment from 2026 with full maturity by the tenth year.
Each project runs through an independent legal entity — giving investors, government partners and anchor tenants a clean surface to engage with, at either project or platform level.
Emerge as a socially responsible corporate that engineers solutions through cutting-edge technology and grows into one of India's leading industrial conglomerates.
Provide end-to-end solutions par excellence and deliver sustainable value to every stakeholder — from the anchor tenant and government partner to the farming household next door and the shift worker on the factory floor.
Anchored to four operating values: integrity, team work, innovation, and customer focus.
